You should see a Moderate link on the navbar at the top now when viewing posts. Your general duty is to approve stuff in the queue and delete flagged posts if you think they aren't up to snuff. You can also informally vouch people for Contributor status. My usual metric is at least 100 uploaded posts (that aren't all just scans from an artbook), no bad deleted posts, no dealbreaker records, etc. If you want to nominate someone you can send me a PM.

Also, I do keep track of who approves what. If you don't approve anything in two weeks I'm going to get suspicious and start bugging you.

If you have questions you can ask them here.

Out of interest, as a post-mortem discussion, which contact were the applicants supposed to have used? I noticed three sets of contact infos provided during the process, and maybe there were even more that I've missed :D

I finally have something to keep me busy when I'm still awake at 4 or 5am :D

A question: Some images are highlighted in green in the moderator queue and I'm not quite sure what that is supposed to mean.

It means the posts have a high score. Red highlight means it has a negative score. It's suppose to help you decide which post to approve going through tons of it.

Well, just don't use it as your only basis obviously. As has been noted several times even bad images will have high scores if they're sex-related.

It does help a bit for some of those gray-area posts though.

Ok, one question. It was said in the "hiring" thread that Janitors can execute flagged deletions (though it should probably be avoided unless it's an obvious violation). Can we also clear flagged deletions if they are erroneous, or is that something only Mods can do?

Right now for instance, there are two pics in the mod queue listed as "flagged for deletion". Both are flagged due to being duplicates, which isn't a valid reasoning under site policy. I'd clear them if I could, but I see no obvious way to do so.

I believe all you have to do is just approve the flagged images and they will no longer be flagged.

Ah, I see. That worked. That's what I had thought, but I had been approving things via the post's "approve" link, which doesn't appear for pre-approved flagged images. I didn't notice the approve button on the queue itself.

It's just that I find some things confusing: such as albert flagging a post for deletion himself and letting it sit in the flagged queue.

One of the rules is you shouldn't delete posts you've flagged. Don't feel obligated to delete it just because I or another admin flagged it.
