Changes to commenting - Do Not Bump gone?

Telling people about spoiler tags = good
Removing anonymous commenting = good

Removing 'do no bump' = Is this intentional?

I always found this to be extremely useful. Not everything I or others say needs to be bumped to the top of the comment queue.

I'd like to request the return of this option.

Seconding the "do not bump" request, at the least.

I liked post as Anonymous, though I can see why it was removed. Thirding the return of 'do not bump', I don't see why that was removed.

Yeah, I mean, 90% of my comments are Do Not Bump. What the heck, albert?

BTW, was image zooming removed as well? That's a pity, I used it a lot.

I'll second getting the image zooming back too. I also use it a lot especially when looking at hi-res images in the mod queue.

I made a trac ticket to replace Resize with a toggle between Original Image/Low-res Sample but it looks like only the resize button was removed.

I guess people are meant to use the sample function for that now.

I don't like that, I want to always know I'm looking at the original pic and hit a button to show the sample in case it's too big. Not the other way around.

"Do not bump" was probably removed so stupid comments and spoilers can be easily seen and removed by mods.

I miss this also. My stopgap currently is to open the image in a new window, but that doesn't work if it has translated text on it.

omg why did the take out the zooming that was like my favorite feature.
now I have to scroll, dam small monitors.

Too lazy to count how manyth for do not bump, and also would like zooming... because I want to load full image (so saving is easier) but have them fit on my screen when viewing... especially since I typically upload and view highres vector trace / transparent png's...

I prefered the resize as it was as well. Without it you often can't see everything without viewing the picture on it's own. This is especially important for big pictures that need translations, it sucks having to scroll everywhere.

Replacing the resized image with the sample is also bad idea, it will lead to people corrupting their download folders. A re-sampled image is always going to be of lesser quality than the original, and since it has a different hash than the original, it could potentially be re-uploaded by someone which would contribute to extra chaff duplicates.

I guess we need both then.
Resize to toggle between resized/real.
Sample to toggle between sample/original.

I personally never use the samples myself, but I guess they are there for a reason. I'd rather wait and get the real image in the end.

People who regularly "resize" from the sample, are actually wasting time and bandwidth rather than saving it. I suppose for people that are happy with just the screen sized versions, sampling has some utility though.

For me, I'd like sampling, sometimes a picture is too big and takes an absurdly long time to load so I can use a quick preview sample that doesn't take much time to load to see it first, if it's an absurdres I won't bother with loading the whole thing anyway.
As for resize, I never used it, when I want to see a whole image I just Right Click>View Image on Firefox. I don't like Resize because it doesn't scale the images as well as the samples, but I don't have Show Image Samples on because I want to immediately know the size of the image. A toggle is needed, and the original image should always be displayed by default, just like Resize.

Agreed, I used resize all the time. I'd like to see that return too.

No do not bump bad, no image resize bad.

Indifferent to samples. They're a necessity on moe.imouto but here most images aren't big enough for me to worry about turning on image samples.
