Reading the Pointless Pools thread, there has been recent discussion about whether or not to merge the Touhou - Three + One pools. On one hand, each comic is its own story featuring at least one different character every time. On the other hand, many of these pools have been made and can be argued that it creates clutter in the pool listing. Both arguments have valid points, so here is my suggestion that offers a good compromise.
First, take a look at the Hang In There, Kogasa-san series by Mizuki Hitoshi. The pool alone hosts a little over a thousand 4koma strips regarding the everyday life of the artist. In the pool description, there are links that lead to certain strips that are the beginning of certain story arcs, or serial stories. There are many of these stories so they are all placed inside a spoiler box. It helps keep the pool organized, and for readers new to the series it functions as a guide for where they are in the pool.
Here is my suggestion: we merge all of the Three + One pools together and put links in the description for each serial story. This will reduce the pool listing, keep the posts in a single pool, and still allow the readers to check out each individual story at their discretion within the pool. The only problem I see with this suggestion is that it would take time and effort to take the contents of each Three + One story to merge them in a single pool, and updating the description with links to each serial story. I would contribute to this as long as I have some time to spare and know efficient methods of organizing pools. The execution is possible and fairly effective, and I think it would serve as a happy medium for those who want the pools merged and those who want to have the stories as separate from each other as possible.
What are your thoughts on this suggestion and the matter in general?
