DanbooruUp, tag completion for Firefox, Chrome, Opera

Posted under General

Uploaded new version marked as compatible with 3.6.

The only change that seems to have affected danbooruUp is that the MD5 and SHA1 sums disappeared along with the old image properties dialog. I'll see if they can be added back, but I'm not sure if anyone were actually using the feature.

I just started to use this so questions:
- clicking doesn't seem to work for tag completion (Enter does),
- where is the right click → tag search supposed to be used? Doesn't seem to work anywhere for me either.

Using Firefox 3.6. Sorry if I bring up known stuff already mentionned in the depths of the forum (all I could find was the old danbooruUp page)

Also, since it's a sticky and all, how about giving a short description of the add-on in the first post for new users? I've been seeing this thread for months without even knowing what it was about, and it turns out it's super useful and I wish I knew sooner. This deserves more advertising, not necessarily from zatchii.

Anyway thanks for handling this.

You're right, clicking was broken in 3.6. I've uploaded a new version that fixes this, thanks for the report.

Right click for tag search only works when you're uploading an image with the upload dialogue.

Good point about the description, too. I've added a couple of lines and a link to Unbuffered's page.

It's very convenient, thanks. I'm curious how the option "Image Hashing" works. I tried unchecking both "md5" & "sha-1", but didn't find any difference from the past. The duplicate checking still works fine, and I don't know what "the proerties window" refers to.

One more thing, I found it virtually uploads the image from local, instead of use the server to leech the source directly , Doesn't it? I wonder if you could possibly add it (directly server leeching), because it's much faster than uploading from local.. at least for me >_>

Updated

On that note, what's the most recent version available? It says 0.3.3 and that it works on Firefoxen through 3.5.*. Is there a newer version that the updater missed or will I have to Mr. Tech it when I bother to actually upgrade to 3.6?

Updated the top post to point to the 3.6 compatible version, thanks.

The "Image hashing" options used to show the image hash when you right clicked an image and selected 'properties', but it doesn't currently do anything in 3.6, as they've rearranged the menus.

A small update:

* Tagging history is now kept for search specifiers like pool:, user:, order:, chartags:, etc.
* Searches and tag updates on the website are now stored in the tagging history.
* Fewer annoying trailing spaces.

The on-site completion is now available for Chrome and Opera as user scripts using the Web Storage and Web SQL Database standards. See the front post for details.
