From the wiki descriptions, anchor symbol and anchor print seems to be used for the same thing even though anchor symbol is used for posts like post #2370872 too. Should the two tags be merged together or should the print tag imply the symbol tag?

create alias anchor_print -> anchor_symbol
Gonna submit this in case we are going with this option.

I'd rather have the implication. Anchor print is for the pattern printed on clothes (similar to the floral print tag), whereas anchor symbol can be used for a much wider variety of things, including in the KanColle logo as above, or the bowls in post #2869767, or the hat ornament in post #2855019, etc.

I agree here.
An implication would make more sense.
The implication idea would be beneficial if it weren't for the fact that I couldn't find a single instance of a repeating print pattern for anchor print, though I only did a cursory glance. Even if there are a few, I can't imagine there would be enough to justify an implication.

I agree on this, but unfortunately there's plenty of discordant *_print wikis on the matter of the pattern. Example: heart print.
All the similarly named tags probably need to be gone through and fixed/gardened.

I'm not sure if things like "heart print" should be restricted to a repeating pattern. How would a single heart printed on an object be searched in that case? The standard heart tag is way too vast in its usage to be helpful.

The same with some animal prints such as bear print, bunny print and cat print for example.

Perhaps heart_(symbol)? Though thinking twice about it I realize it may only cause confusion.
Would it be helpful to generalize *_print to represent a symbol on clothes or similar materials (armored dresses and the like, perhaps), no matter the quantity, and use *_symbol as a more general term?
For example, the aforementioned anchor print being a subset of anchor symbol, or heart print implying heart.
I guess the anchor_symbols we are seeing are on certain parts of the uniform.
If you look back at Jaws, then I think it becomes clear what I mean with just print: http://cdn2us.denofgeek.com/sites/denofgeekus/files/styles/article_width/public/1/56//jaws_2.jpg?itok=3dEDvACv
But when you have an anchor on a specific position (like at the front of the hat or at the front of the sailor collar) then it's no ordinary print anymore.

Since this alias was rejected, what should we do with these tags?
Maybe using them how it was suggested by kuuderes shadow in forum #136654 or me in forum #136704.
Both statements are pretty much identical.
